Crawdad nation connects at third-annual bingo night
Members of the Crawdad community had the opportunity to interact off the diamond during the successful event
On July 11, the Walnut Creek Crawdads had their third annual bingo night, an event that gave all of Crawdad nation an opportunity to come together.
From a silent auction to great food, the night saw all attendees enjoy themselves.
Creating the night was no easy task.
From sending out flyers to keeping people entertained, the Crawdads saw many important members help out. Outside of those in attendance to play, a few names popped out in making the night what it was.
Six Crawdad players showed up to help out for the night: Kam Taylor, Ryan Ellis, Brandon Clizbe, Ryan DeLaney, Noah Zirkle and Bryden Bull. They served food, interacted with members of the community and even donated items up for auction.
Members of the Crawdad intern team also showed up to help out. General manager Austin Ota and assistant general manager Charlie Limoncelli were in attendance, helping run the game and connect with the community. Marketing interns Audrey Schreiner and Alexa Malinovsky also helped facilitate the night. Not only were they in attendance to work the event, they were driving forces in setting up the entire event. Photographer Maddie Luscher also attended, capturing all of the wonderful parts of bingo night.
Players and interns were not the only people who helped make bingo night what it was. Many families in the community helped as well, providing food and items for auctions.
While Crawdad fans have opportunities to interact during games at Monte Vista High School, bingo night gave all members of Crawdad nation a chance to interact outside of the field and get to know each other. At the end of the night, all in attendance left with a full heart, connecting with other Crawdad fans beyond baseball.
Not only was the event great for the fans in attendance, but it will greatly impact the Crawdad organization for the better in the long run.
Raising $7,600, the money received from the event will greatly impact the Crawdads for years to come.
Running a summer baseball team is no cheap task. From supplying equipment to covering costs for road trips, it takes a lot for the team to function. Nights like bingo night are incredibly helpful to growing the Crawdads.
After another very successful bingo night, the Crawdads are looking forward to next year's event, hoping to see even more donations and familiar faces.
